Lettuce goes on some burgers, others it’s definitely a negative. A steakhouse burger or something? Absolutely, hit me with the full garden. The problem primarily I think is that most burgers are eaten out of a sack where they’ve been steaming the lettuce into a chewy, flavorless rag. I don’t even hate it that much at that stage, but I appreciate how someone wouldn’t eat like a Double from Wendy’s with it or something.

Lettuce is a requirement for my wife’s burgers. I don’t want lettuce near my burgers.

My enthusiasm for lettuce, or any other veggie, on a burger depends entirely on how fresh it is. I’ve learned not to trust most fast food places for this.
